I put my hands in the pockets of a story
glad I found a fairy and a light dress,
A Sleeping Beauty and a laugh without a body.
had pygmies and a swan lake,
A
market goblins witches A kiosk,
and ancient coins in a jar of magic.
had for you a horse with wings,
A cloud, a ladder,
A path in the afternoon
And a giant in the wind.
had for you
Butterfly Blue Unicorns human
A river of candy and a sun bed.
I gave her a gold window
A Little Red Riding Hood to your forests
And the antics of Alice.
Suddenly ...
hurt.
Birds fell and faded love
A words reality
river drowned the poem that was born in my hands.
guitars crickets are comatose
You killed the story.
There are no elves, no magic, Ni
singing star.
no longer is a Snow White, Not a kiss
happy
No Cinderellas and princes, pumpkins
not tied to rats.
I look
castles fall.
and fairies vanish.
I still have a broken ladder,
And a sky that is falling apart.
We have a fear of bats,
As black claws tonight
That throws me into the world
